Kiesha Lalama has created dynamic works for stage, film, and television. Kiesha choreographed feature films,
“The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” “Sorority Row,” documentary series “Broadway or Bust” (PBS), critically acclaimed
television series “Outsiders” (WGN), and “American Rust” (SHOWTIME). Theatrical highlights include Jimmy Awards
(Broadway), All Shook Up (North Shore Music Theatre), Jesus Christ Superstar (Kansas City Starlight Theatre), Into
the Woods (Arsht Center), Judge Jackie Justice, Ruthless! The Musical and First Date (Pittsburgh CLO). International
concert dance highlights include Shed (DCDC), Catapult (Dance Kaleidoscope), and Alegria (Giordano Dance
Chicago). Lalama has created three full-length contemporary dance theater productions including The Bench-
Journey into Love, HeartShakes, and Bound in Before. Lalama has been awarded numerous outstanding
choreography awards and was named to Dance Magazine’s Top 25 to Watch. Kiesha serves as Professor in the
Point Park University Dance Department and as Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Pittsburgh CLO. Kiesha holds
an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College. Of all these accomplishments, Kiesha is most proud of her
sons Jake and Jax.
