Anne Peckham, Chair of the Voice Department at Berklee College of Music is an
esteemed vocal pedagogue, author, and educator with a deep commitment to
advancing vocal pedagogy in contemporary popular music. She is the author of the
popular Berklee Online course Voice 101.
Anne is the author of several influential books, including the Berklee Press/Hal
Leonard bestsellers The Contemporary Singer, Elements of Vocal Technique,
Vocal Workouts for the Contemporary Singer, and Vocal Studies for the
Contemporary Singer. Her most recent publication, The Berklee Singer’s Guide to
Jazz and Blues, is a collaborative work that focuses on the roots of popular music
and is a required text/songbook for all Berklee voice students. The Berklee Voice
Department is the largest instrumental department at the Berklee College of Music,
with 90 faculty members and more than 2000 voice students.
