It’s Faculty Friday!
A large part of what makes ArtsBridge Summer so special is our amazing faculty, so we are running a short blog series highlighting our acting and musical theater faculty for 2015. Check back every week to see who is featured on Faculty Friday. You can also always see the whole ArtsBridge Summer faculty at the link here.
Joe Price is returning for his second year of ArtsBridge Summer as the Artistic Director of ArtsBridge Summer Dramatic Acting. During the year, Joe is the Program Director at the University of Minnesota, Guthrie Theater BFA Program. He works as director, actor, and fight choreographer throughout the country. A quick peruse of his Facebook revealed that Joe is a James Taylor fan.
Cameron Knight is also returning for his second year of ArtsBridge Summer teaching in both the musical theater and acting programs. During the year, Cameron teaches at Carnegie Mellon University. He recently directed August Wilson’s Seven Guitars at CMU, which former ArtsBridge Summer student Jordan Plutzer raved about in this recent interview.
Betty Schneider is a longtime friend of ArtsBridge, and she is joining us for her first summer as Artistic Director of our brand new program ArtsBridge Summer Starter Edition. Betty lives in San Francisco, where the Starter Edition program will be held. Betty Schneider is currently an expert vocal coach, and has been a director and faculty member at American Conservatory Theater, The Performing Arts Project, Broadway Theatre Project, University of San Francisco, and Green Voices Institute in Munich, Germany.
William Hall is also teaching at our new Starter Edition program. William co-founded one of the largest improvisational theaters in America, BATS Improv Theatre and Training Center in San Francisco. He continues to perform and teach at BATS, where he was in a recent production of an improvised version of Game of Thrones. We wish we had seen that!
